If you bring your own kayak there are several locations near by to launch your kayak but the best and easiest spot is at the Caddo Lake Wildlife Refuge boat ramp. It puts you right on waterway "F" and it is loaded with lily pads and cypress trees. It's a great location for both fishing and sightseeing. This is a wonderful place to take photographs and to just relax. There is also a large pavilion there at the launch that can be used to enjoy a meal. There is a new restroom there next to it for your convenience. Directions to this launch are included in the info book in the cabin.

The Kayak launch on Waterway "F" is also the safest place for a kayak as well since the main waterway "A" has many motorized boats that do not always slow down for smaller vessels like kayaks.
